Introduction

  • The Capital Investment Entrant Scheme was launched by the Immigration Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 27 October 2003 to facilitate the entry for residence by capital investment entrants i.e. persons who make capital investment in Hong Kong but would not be engaged in the running of any business here.
  • The threshold of investment (and Net assets/ Net equity requirement) for admission to Hong Kong under the Scheme is HK$10 million. This Net equity requirement amount (other than cash dividends or interest accruing in the designated account) has to be invested in the designated account for 7 years.
